Southwest Commission 2021 "Going Home" Clients: Patty and Walter Bricker, Santa Fe, New Mexico
(Specific items were requested: Road runner, Rider on horseback, Territorial style adobe house, Sangre De Cristo Mountains in Fall color as the backdrop, New Mexico style cumulus clouds, blue skies, evening light, glowing light in windows of adobe, NM foliage, Size 30 x 40)
I gathered all the reference photos/materials that I needed, then had the clients view the painting's progression by cell-phone shots, and make recommendations as they saw fit. Pictured, is the final painting as I rendered it....

2020 Commission of Pets 'Warming Up' 12 x 16 Clients: Krissy & Kam Dern
I do portrait commissions of people and animals, Ranch scenes, or basically any subject matter requested. A Basic head shot would cost around $2,000.00 and any full length view or added subjects to the painting, will have an increased cost. The completed price would be presented and agreed upon prior to commencement.
50% deposit on final price agreed upon, required as a down payment, which covers my travel expenses and materials and time taken while
working on your painting. This deposit is non refundable. The remaining fee will be due upon completion and paid prior to shipping the painting. The client may see the progress of the painting at any time. The client will also have a say about the finished painting, prior to it being varnished, to see if there are any desired changes. Once these changes are implemented, the painting will be varnished, and completely dry, prior to shipping to the client.
Unless it is impossible for me to get to a certain place to photograph a person, I can work from photos other than mine, but I prefer
to take the material myself. I have limited time to paint a sitting portrait in person, however it can be arranged.
After I have collected the photos of you or the subject matter that you wish, the client and I will agree on the best photo representation of the person or subject, and the painting will commence, according to my schedule.
